I think that farm scrapers are a great idea,in that they can clean the air in the city, making it easier to breath there and also it can make a nice tourist attraction.Ithink that its fail-sauce that its taken this long for the idea to come into effect. The only problem i could forsee would be that it would make people think that they could pollute more.
I think this idea is amazing. I just think according to development urban area the farming system will be falling off.. but if we build vertical farmscraper, we don't need as much as feeder.
We destroyed animal's live area . so now we need make animal's new environment. we have responsible to keep their living area.
But i worried about the animal need fresh air and wide field and glass..... Even if we make artificial wide field and glass i think animal can get more stress.
Before make vertical farmscraper. We need more arguing how can we reduce noise in the urban area
and how can we purify the air?
I think that the vertical farming is a good idea. I could not believe that is has been around for a good number of years and it is just getting big now. It seems like such a simple concept, growing food to feed thousands, but at the same time limiting the space needed to do so. I believe it is beneficial to humans and the environment because it limits space and resources. Also it is a controlled environment so food can be grown regardless of weather.
It is kind of scary to know that by 2050 80% of the earth's population will live in a city. Having a verticle farmscraper sounds like a good idea. The weather can not mess up the plant's growth and there will be no pests to eat away or toxic the plants. That aspect makes it seem like it would be a good way to get food and not have to pay money to transport it. However, if farmscrapers become popular it will leave farmers jobless. It is one thing if farmers decide on their own that they are not producing enough edible crops to sell and make a living, but it being taken away from them in my opinin sounds kind of wrong. Especially since people today are already having financial troubles. But if it came down to the fact that we were running out of food, then this definetely seems like an agreeable decision!
I think its a great idea... I really think that we should do it have the farm-scraper built with solar panels.... i think that this would really work... I think we should start building these all over the the United States... The person that came up with this was very very smart... and understands what going green means.... I think that the only real problem would be to power up these buildings but you can use solar and wind power so i think we should totally give it a shot....
WOW vertical farms. I have to say as a farmer myself it is cool to see so much crop being made with such little space. When we chop the ground getting ready for the next crop it takes such a long time because the ground is bigger than an acre, but with the towers it can have over 20 acres just taking up 1 acre. This to me is extremely beneficial for humans cause our population is just going to keep growing making more land unusable, therefore no land for farming. The only bad thing I see from the vertical farming is storms how will the tower make it through a huge hurricane or a hail storm. Won't it fall over? What if it caves in, then what would happen to the people below???
I think it would be a good idea. it could help with world hunger as long as we continued to use basic farming skills. I believe it could benefit humans but at the same time how well could these buildings last throw a natural disaster we don't want all of are food supply gone with an Earthquake or anything like that but at the same time it could help with population space. if we don't us wind power than were burning more energy than what we can afford.
I think it is a really good idea in that we can put 4 farms vertically rather than one along the ground. This would be extremely beneficial for human for the fact you can have a store, restaurant and farm in one building that would cut down on the food needed to be grown then shipped to 2 different places but with the "farmscraper" its all in one place a use of an elevator can transport. Also if there are solar panels on the sides and a wind turbine on the top since the air would blow stronger higher up that could power it as well. I see it as a giant filter for a city that cleans the air for the city and produces products and jobs for that city. The only problem is that the pollution that exists already wouldn't let the plants grow or effect the way they grow so it could take a couple years to filter the current air and be able to really gain full advantage of the farmscraper.
